About Me

The Creative Me:

Ever since childhood I have had a love of creating.
As a child I started out drawing cartoons, then as I grew I moved to pencil sketching, then general crafts and polymer clay,
then loom beading, then silver clay, and in the last few years I have found a true love in seed beading.
especially like encrusted seed bead embroidery, inspired by artists such as
Sherry Serafini and Heidi Kummli.
I bead on a small scale, never really making anything larger than a pendant or brooch,
but plan to venture out into other, larger, beading projects as time permits.
I have a
blog on WordPress, where I post photos and info on my latest projects.
Please feel free to follow me on my blog and twitter, or use
my contact page

A person can never have too many beady friends!

strongest threads and wire, PMC silver clay, and professional-grade polymer clay.

YES! I take custom orders.

The Personal Me:

I am a 40-something mother and grandmother, and former medical transcriptionist and editor.
I recently gave up medical transcription to move on to more pleasant, creative endeavors.
I grew up in Massapequa Park, Long Island, NY, and other than a 10-month stay in E. Stroudsburg, PA, I stayed on Long Island until age 32.
I then moved to Fairfax, Vermont, and after spending 4 LONG winters in Vermont in the 1990s I lived in several other places,
including Plymouth, MA, Seneca Falls, NY, Medford, Long Island NY, Aiken SC, and I now reside in North Charleston, South Carolina (in that order).
I have been in South Carolina since late 2004 and plan to stay a while.
I currently live with my boyfriend, Ed, my two dogs Daisy and Pixie, and cat Sugar.

During my lifetime I have worked as a bank teller, insurance salesperson, photo lab manager, photographer,
medical transcriptionist service owner/editor and supervisor, retail salesperson/cashier, flea market vendor,
professional resume writer, investment firm secretary, and personal assistant.  That is the condensed list!
These days I fancy myself an artist and writer, and I believe those titles suit my personality the best, and I plan to keep them a while.  :-)
